I think the strength in depth at Arsenal is amazing - look at the way the kids destroyed a full strength Newcastle.
Will it last - not sure!
Just a couple of bad results and the team loses confidence. Still, I'm dreaming at the moment.
got to address the balance with the girlie make up thread so here goes.
my first sports love is rugby union - my team is the london wasps.
football team (soccer) is millwall.. clam .

to lfc viking - when I was on holiday this year, we stayed at the Victoria Jungfrau Hotel in Interlaken, Switzerland and guess who else was staying there?
The Liverpool team!

Football team: Arsenal! Yes I've been a Gooner since 1971 - when we won the double!
I know the poor Americans on this thread don't get it with football, it's only the worlds most popular sport!
Second love, Formula 1 (another thing the Yanks don't get!) McLaren - come on Hamilton for the World Championship!
it's been a long time since i posted here but i often read your messages when ian (dansk) logs on.
as most of you will know, ian will be going back into hospital on monday for an allogeneic stem cell transplant and will be away from the forum for a good few weeks (hopefully he'll be back home within 4-6 weeks).
last time he was in hospital many of you sent messages to his ward and i know they cheered him up immensely.
Sooooooooooooooooooooooo glad to hear that you are home Ian.
Much better for your soul (and for Claire) that you are back in your own familiar surroundings.
Keep fighting - you are a winner in our books!
Lots of love

would you apologize in writing to your children for raising them in the truth?
i've apologized verbally........ none of them is going to meetings any longer...... my husband and i have been drifting away for several years..... .
i was raised a witness, and thought we were doing the right thing.
I have apologized to my children for bringing them up in the troof. They are no longer going to meetings at all and are beginning to live their lives how they should - enjoying life sensibly.
I just peed off at the moment as my dad did not tell me (or my children) that my grandmother died - until AFTER the funeral!
Might do a seperate thread on this in a couple of days when my head gets round it.

I don't think the Yanks will ever get football eh?
It's only the worlds most played and watched game after all!
Well done on City winning the Manchester derby, but I don't think those league positions will be like that for too long!
My team were let down by our goalie again - whose side is Lehman on?!
Go go Gunners!
it's rather quiet on the jwd forum tonight - probably you are all out partying, eh?
i'm wondering what's in the pile of books by your chair or bed?
i have a couple of mysteries, robert barnard's newest one and a really old arthur upfield.
I'm reading The Partner by John Grisham.
I know it's not very literary but I find his books very entertaining - I love courtroom dramas and political ones too.
I also love cars and subscibe to F1 magazine (Formula 1) and Evo too. I read them both from cover to cover before handing them on to my son.
Sounds sad but Evo seriously is the best written car magazine in the world bar none and the photos are staggering. If you love driving you'll love Evo.
my dub mother sent me a package today, inside was a nwt bible, a picture of me around age 5 at an assembly - i looked miserable and my dad was holding a battery operated fan in front of me, and a letter, here is the letter.
i ask that you remember that i was 18 when i left and i'm now 42, that there is a total of 8 children in my family and there are only 2 that are still jw's, oh and that my mother is a complete nutcase!
dear nj:.
I am dreading a letter like that from my mum - it's always mums isn't it, not dads?!
As has been mentioned, the emotional blackmail is in there but because they believe they are soooooo right they can't understand how awful the letter actually reads.
My heart goes out to you and your response and that of some others on here have been hilarious!
Evern though my mum has not sent me a letter like that since I was d'fed 5 years ago, I know that she is thinking that way inside and that she is just waiting for me to walk back in to the Kingdom Hell - never gonna happen!
Regards

Hi Ian - sorry to have missed the thread about you being home!
I was looking out for it - honest guv!
Well I know everything isn't over yet but what a great big step for you to be home, in your own surroundings and reunited with your dogs!
Claire will be pleased too. She has been terrific again, not least in keeping us all updated.
Take it easy Ian and enjoy - we will all make sure you are in the 50% who don't need to be readmitted!
All the best my friend, and lots of love to Claire too,
Ian and Marie

Hi Claire,
We all appreciate you taking the time to keep us all updated.
Sorry to hear that Ian is not feeling too good at the moment. I'm sure his strength and your support will see him through.
Rest assured that we are all thinking of you both at this time.
Lots of hugs and kisses
